Thinking PINK

03/17/2010

Let’s get this out of the way: I’m a girly-girl. I like “cute” things. I can’t help it. (Really, I’ve tried!) When I first found out that there was a possibility of the Fiat 500 being sold here in the U.S., I got excited. I mean maybe it’s not practical for my lifestyle, but still it’s a vehicle that actually excites me. It stands out in a crowd, and yes it’s cute. It’s the same way I feel about a VW Beetle. I may not want to buy it, but I want to at least experience what it’s like to drive one. That’s more than I can say about most cars right now.

So like many of my obsessions, my feeling for the little Fiat faded away. And then there it was. The Fiat 500 PINK. Just when I was forgetting how fun it would be to drive the oh-so-adorable vehicle, Fiat had to hit me with the one-two punch.

I know what all you guys are thinking: “Oh gag me.” But you have to at least appreciate the details and design that went into this vehicle. If you’re going to make a pink car, at least do it right. You can’t half-ass a pink car. Go all the way or don’t bother. And they did. They didn’t just stop with a  “Sex-and-the-City” pink exterior; the interior is pink-a-fied as well. They had me drooling over the pink dashboard and special floor mats with pink stitching! Not enough? The key is even pink!

So there you have it, I’m officially obsessed. Does this mean I’m going to be one of the fashionable 500 to snag up this limited edition model? Maybe if I had enough money to afford a “fun” car that’s easy on fuel. A girl can dream though, right? Now if you’ll excuse me I have to go call my boyfriend Ken!

Actually it looks fucia color…however, the two-tone subdued pink & charcoal grey on cars was a cool exterior color…be nice if it was brought back
